KOBE AND SHAQ

The most popular answer your going to get is Jordan and Pippen cause they dominataed unlike any other duo in history. In that neither of them were BIG men.

They're just the most unique combination out there. It never has been done that way and I don't see it happening any time soon either.

Well for a while the Raptors struggled to win. They only put up 16 wins in their first season. But I can't really call them the worst NBA franchise.

What NBA franchise has the most wins in NBA history and has won a title in every decade?

i couldnt find the answer to this one. give number of victories and the years each championship was won by this franchise for best answer!

What NBA franchise has the most wins in NBA history and has won a title in every decade?tv on pc

Technically your answer is no one. No team has won a championship in every decade but I think I know where you're going.

The lakers have won 2901 games as of today compared to the Celtics who have won 2856. The Lakers have won titles in the following seasons:

2001-2002

2000-2001

1999-2000

1987-1988

1986-1987

1984-1985

1981-1982

1979-1980

1971-1972

1953-1954

1952-1953

1951-1952

1949-1950

1948-1949

The first five while they were the Mineapolis Lakers. The last nine after they moved to Los Angeles. The Lakers have won championships in every decade except the 60's when the Celtics dominated the league

What NBA franchise has the most wins in NBA history and has won a title in every decade?golf ,nba teams

Lakers have most wins in history they won a title in every decade except 90's unless the 99-00 season counts as the 90's the season did start in the 90's
No team has won in a title like that. So ok.

Lakers didnot win one in 90's and they are the closest
It would have to be the Lakers. They slip by the 90's decade by winning in 2000, technically the last year of the 90's.

I'm not enough of a sports stat nerd to give you all the stats you asked for though, so I'll just have to be content with giving the correct team.
No team has one a title in every decade - if you are defining them as 40s, 50s, 60s etc.

Most wins, I'll guess the Lakers as they have the

* Highest winning percentage

* 61.3% by the Los Angeles Lakers (2,848-1,799)
The Boston Celtics . They have won the most , they dominated the 60's and 70's and early 80's . then they fell off the map of basketball. but now they are back , and have a chance to win their first title since 85-86 season .
The Celtics would have the most wins ever...I mean come on theyve won 16 titles. So with all games that matter (season and post season) Celtics win that. They were great back in the days before playoffs also.

Phil Jackson...
Lefties are always more talented. First of course left handers think and live using more of the creaive mind (rightbrain). It can also be said that lefties live in a world geared toward right handedness, so we also have to learn to do everything well backwards. There are more of us than you think (am ambi in some things but am a natural leftie) BaseBall, tennis, raquetball was taught by righties, so it was learned not natural. Shooting pool - taught myself, leftie - and not a bad shooter. Look at the lists in basketball - lots of talent on that list!

Where was this question last year?

How about the Bulls winning 72 games???

Celtics plays 51 games vs the East, does that mean anything?

Dude come on, they are a great team, but stop over-hyping them.
No because Lakers is gods team.
I HATE CELTICS LAKERS ARE BETTER!!!!
best team in history no i think cris should get it but kg really deserves it for wut he does for them
GET REAL!
your right they've won the most championships and you can't argue with rings.
ok, did they win 72 games yet? The Bulls did, in the late 90s.

did they win a championship yet? season is not over yet.

So calm down with the premature statements.
yes they are. plus, the fans aren't trash talkers. laker fans talk too much, and they keep braggin about kobe and telling themselves that he's the MVP this year. cp3 should be the MVP! kobe had his chances in 06 but he blew a 3-1 series lead against the suns. face the facts and accept it! celtics is the best team in the league right now, and the lakers aren't even close to it, even if they had gasol on their line-up (which made them the gayest team in the NBA right now, cause they had to acquire another superstar to try and match-up with their opponents. they probably thought that kobe alone won't get them pass the 1st round)
Yes you are right!

I remember how last year the Celtic were the BEST team! oh wait they only won 24 games last year...

Who in NBA history was better at 21 years of age then Lebron?

No one.

FYI, Kobe didn't carry the Lakers by himself to the western conference finals, he had Shaq. If he was alone like LeBron, he wouldn't have gotten anywhere without Shaq.

Who in NBA history was better at 21 years of age then Lebron?nba championships

Michael Jordan...

Who in NBA history was better at 21 years of age then Lebron?nba game ,nba teams

Jordan
Technically speaking Kobe had won a chamipionship by then.

June 2000 he was 21 years old...he turned 22 in August

And another thing...lebron is 22 not 21
kevin garnett comes to mind but he never had his team in the semi finals so i guess the only guess would be moses malone
No one at the age of 21 that I know of...
21 seems to be the age at which high schoolers (LeBron, Kobe, McGrady, Garnett, etc.) seem to really get good. On the other hand, somecollegeball actually helps the players who leave early (Wade, Carmelo, etc.) mature faster. It's a good argument for the NBA's new age limit.
kobe
Michael Jordan
Here's one 21 year old who could beat James:

Having won everything possible at thecollegelevel, Johnson decided to leavecollegetwo years early and declared himself eligible for the 1979 NBA Draft. The Utah Jazz actually had the first draft pick, but because they had traded it away to sign NBA star Gail Goodrich, the Los Angeles Lakers drafted Johnson with the first overall pick, signing him for a then hefty salary of US$600,000 a year.

There, Johnson joined a franchise which had gone though major changes. The Lakers featured a new coach in Jack McKinney, a new owner in Dr. Jerry Buss, and several new players. However, Johnson was most excited about the prospect of playing with his personal idol, the 7-2 center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the all-time scoring champion. From the first game, Johnson displayed his trademark enthusiasm for the game. When Abdul-Jabbar hit a last-second free throw line hook shot to win against the San Diego Clippers, Johnson ran around the court, high-fiving and hugging everybody, causing concern that the "Buck" (as Johnson was called by Lakers announcer Chick Hearn for his youth) would burn himself out in no time. However, in that 1979-80 NBA season, the rookie proved them wrong, wowing the crowd with spectacular, crowd-pleasing "Showtime" basketball defined by quick fastbreaks, making use of his superior dribbling and passing to enable high-percentage slam dunks or open layups for his colleagues. Given Johnson was also a profilic scorer and rebounder, he soon led the league in triple-doubles, racking up 10-points-10-rebounds-10-assists games in a rate only second to NBA Hall-of-Famer Oscar Robertson. In addition, he often flashed an infectious smile which expressed a raw, childlike enthusiasm and further endeared him to the fans.

Johnson's average of 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game was enough to make the All-Rookie Team and become a starter on the All-Star Team, even though the NBA Rookie of the Year Award went to his rival Larry Bird, who had joined the Boston Celtics. The Lakers compiled a 60-22 win-loss record, and with Paul Westhead replacing coach McKinney as a coach after a serious bicycle crash, the Lakers reached the 1980 NBA Finals against the Philadelphia 76ers. Fighting fierce resistance of Sixers superstar Julius "Doctor J" Erving and Darryl Dawkins, the Lakers took a 3-2 lead before Abdul-Jabbar went down with a sprained ankle. Coach Westhead decided to put point guard Johnson at pivot instead, and on the Sixers' home court, the rookie dominated with 42 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and three steals, lifting the Lakers to a 123-107 win and winning the NBA Finals MVP award. The NBA acknowledges Johnson's clutch performance as one of the finest individual games ever.Although only 21 years old, he had already won every trophy at high school, collegeand professional level. Johnson also became one of only four players to win NCAA and NBA championships in consecutive years. For his feats, Sports Illustrated graced its May 25, 1980 cover with Johnson holding his Finals MVP trophy, with a simple two-word caption: "Magic's Moment".
MJ baby!

What NBA uniform is the best in NBA history?

I like the present day Sonics unis. It looks very sleek, very aerodynamic. Yellow and green is a very appealing color combination, and I love how there is alot of green in their unis (I think it represents their geographic location very well, since Washington is a state with a lot of trees).

The Lakers unis are dope too. Purple and gold are very regal colors befitting a team that has won numerous championships.

Throwbacks: The old-school 80's rainbow Denver unis are really cool, cuz it was just such a crazy color combination.

The 80's Pacman ATL unis are awesome, cuz of the Pacman logo. The Pacman design makes it look really unique, and Dominique and Spud Webb made those unis look awesome with the way they dunked in those duds.

Who is the greatest small forward in NBA history?soccer

Larry Bird..in my opinion

Who is the greatest small forward in NBA history?celtics ,nba teams

lebron james is the best overall small foward in the history of the nba. nobody comes close in the small foward position except for mabey larry bird and karl malone. thats if ur ony going by sf
Its Larry Bird. The Lebron people are stupid. Larry bird had better stats in the first place, which would be their only argument, plus he played defense. now to finally answer your 2 guard question. this ones easy.....
Scottie Pippen
Larry Bird
barkley was a small forward 6 foot five

larry bird is the best
Lamar Odom
Bird or Pippen.
Charles Barkley
King James
SCOTTIE PIPPEN
Larry Bird. bar none.

Lebron James is not even close. James is a bad shooter and bad defender; Bird was neither of those. Bird was a 3 time MVP, who lead his Celtics to multiple championships in an era where there was two dynasties(Celtics and Lakers) not a psudo-dynasty like the Spurs.

Elgin Baylor would be second, and Pippen 3rd.
Larry Bird.

Lebron can (maybe) be considered the best SF ever when he gets 12 all-star games, 3 MVPs and 2 Finals games MVPs.

Scottie Pippen with his 6 rings is second.

Nba history, what happened in 1998 and there was a short season?

1. there was a labor dispute that wasn't resolved until January or February i think, and it ended when the Players' Union and the NBA Management entered into a new Collective Bargaining Agreement...

2. the NBA had a 50 game season, wherein not all teams faced each other

3. The Chicago Bulls were history... the dynasty ended when Phil Jackson left as coach, Michael Jordan retired (for the second time), Scottie Pippen went to the Rockets to form the Hakeem-Barkley-Scottie Big 3 which ended in a 1st round loss to the rising Lakers, Dennis Rodman was unsigned, until he played a few games with the Lakers, Longley went to the Suns, Kerr went to the Spurs (and became the first non-Celtic to win 4 NBA Championships in a row)... Kukoc was left to lead the Bulls with Harper, and they finished with their worst record ever... (i pitied them when i watched their game on TV... the Sonics were clobbering them)

4. The Kings were a fast rising squad led by Webber... they almost pulled an upset against the then-very strong Jazz

5. Joe Dumars called it a career, as he played his last NBA game in the deciding Game 5 of the 1st round against the Hawks, with the Pistons losing the game and the series...

6. The Jazz's 2-year reign in the West came to an end... they lost in Game 6 to an also-rising Portland Trailblazers squad in the West semis, propelling the Blazers to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 1992, and ending the Jazz's 3 consecutive West Finals appearances...

7. The New York Knicks became the second 8th seeded team to beat the top-seed, as they beat Miami in the first round in 5 games thanks to Allan Houston's 0.8 shot... they went on an improbable playoff run by sweeping the 4th seed Atlanta Hawks in the semis, then beat the #2 seed Indiana Pacers in the East Finals in 6 games (highlighted by the LJ 4 point play in Game 3) to become the 1st 8th seeded team to enter the NBA Finals

8. The San Antonio Spurs won their first ever NBA championship by mercilessly crushing the injury-depleted Knicks in 5 games... courtesy of Twin Towers Duncan and Robinson

Nba history, what happened in 1998 and there was a short season?nba all star

Due to a lockout, the season didn't start until February 5, 1999 after a new six year Collective Bargaining Agreement was reached between the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association. All 29 teams played a shortened 50 game regular season schedule, and the 16 teams who qualified for the playoffs played a full post-season schedule. The season ended with the San Antonio Spurs winning the franchise's first NBA championship, beating the New York Knicks 4 games to 1 in the 1999 NBA Finals.

Have there been any player in NBA history to have a ROY-MVP trophy in the same season?

Just Asking.

* ROY - Rookie of the Year

MVP - Most Valuable Player

Have there been any player in NBA history to have a ROY-MVP trophy in the same season?nba graphics

I disagree that a rookie will ever win the MVP again. It could, and probably will happen one day. He'll have to step into the perfect situation (as his team will have to already be constructed around him in order to win the 50+ games it'll take) but it's not impossible. The problem is, most players aren't staying incollegefor the 3-4 years necessary to step into the league ready to perform at that level. That's not to say it will never happen though.

Unseld and Chamberlain are correct, and I would agree Bird could've easily won it in '80. I would say the biggest jip however came in David Robinson's rookie year, when Magic won the award over him. Not only did Robinson take the Spurs single-handedly from 21 wins to 56 wins (the largest turnaround in NBA history), he also put up some amazing numbers---24 ppg, 12 rpg, 2 apg, 1.7 spg, 3.9 bpg, shooting 53% from the floor.

Have there been any player in NBA history to have a ROY-MVP trophy in the same season?nba live 2007 ,nba teams

i think oscar robertson
Wes Unseld and Wilt Chamberlain. Pick me as best answerer though...
Wes Unseld. Wilt Chamberlain
Wilt Chamberlain and Wes Unseld are the correct answers.

Larry Bird was robbed of the MVP award in his rookie season, or he would have been the third player to win both.
my answer is great player in history of the nba the great wilt chamberlian rookie and most valuable player
wilt and unseld and benjie paras in phil.
Wes Unseld with the Baltimore Bullets
Wilt and Unseld.
Obviously they have decided to not allow such a thing anymore, as the idea is that a rookie can never be the most valuable player in the league. Rookie of the Year is the MVP for rookies in the same way that Defensive Rookie of the Year is the DPOY for rookies in the NFL.

They will never award another MVP to a rookie.

Hope this helps

Celtics are the best team in NBA history?nba salaries ,nba teams

Phx suns will be the first team in NBA history to win the series after trailing 0-3.. agree or disag

Disagree--- You forget that the Spurs have won 4 championships in the last 9 years. i don't think Parker and Manu are going to have 3 more bad games- and also don't think Diaw will have 3 more monster games.

i really appreciate the enthusiasm of Suns fans but the Spurs are the defending World Champs and the Suns have had defensive issues against the Pick and Roll. Stoudemire, Nash and Shaq all struggle guarding the pick-n-roll and Tony Parker and Ginoboli have been getting in the lane at will all series long.

Nickster

Phx suns will be the first team in NBA history to win the series after trailing 0-3.. agree or disagree?nba betting

Why not? The way I see it, this series is one Tim Duncan lucky 3-pointer away from being 2-2. It's unlikely the Suns come back to win it all but it's not impossible. After all, I doubt a single person on this board thought the Hawks and Celtics would be 2-2 right now. It's playoff basketball! In baseball, the Red Sox became the first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit -- to the Yankees no less. Why not the Suns against the rival Spurs in basketball?

Phx suns will be the first team in NBA history to win the series after trailing 0-3.. agree or disagree?nba fantasy ,nba teams

Only if they win game 5 in the same fashion they won game 4. If they blow out the Spurs in San Antonio...oh yeah I can see them winning this series.

That will show that whatever adjustments the Spurs made, and will make will have no effect on the rest of this series.
They can but i know they won't

they can come out they way they did game 4 everyday but they wont do it for game 5

if they win tomorrow the series is even again... (both would of blown one home game) and it would be on pace for game 7 and any would happen there
Not happening. I don't care about either team and would love for that to happen, but the Spurs are a championship team and they won't lose 4 in a row. I'd be happy if they did but I don't think it'll happen
i disagree.

not likely at all. would take a serious turn of events, like a few key injuries to the Spurs, a four or five man suspension of the Spurs... not impossible, just not very likely.
I would agree, but remember who they're facing, the SAN ANTONIO SPURS...Last year's champions, with the same drive they have of winning a championship.

The Spurs when they click are the frontrunners of the Western Conference.

Where does Hakeem Olajuwon rank as some of the best centers in NBA history?

12 time all star, 2 time defensive palyer of the year, 1994 mvp, 2 nba championships, 1st in blocks, 9th in steals, 6th in points, 12th in rebounding all time

Where does Hakeem Olajuwon rank as some of the best centers in NBA history?nba records

I think that The Dream was the best overall center that ever played the game. No center ever had his combination of size, strength, quickness, speed, footwork, and skill. Kareem was a better scorer. Russell was a better rebounder and shotblocker. Chamberlain was bigger and stronger. Hakeem was the whole package.

Where does Hakeem Olajuwon rank as some of the best centers in NBA history?nba championships ,nba teams

Automatically in the top four. Where you put him is your preference. I'd personally put him 3rd. He's the best all around center in the mid 80's-late 90's era.
top 3 fsho

1) Wilt...he can get the job done offensively and defensively

2) Russell..man was a beast on the defensive end...won 8 championships in a row...thats ridiculous

3) Olajuwon...one of the greatest shot blockers of all time and had some sweet moves in the post
Blocks weren't kept during Russell or Wilt's careers, nor were they kept for the first 5 years of Jabbar's career... that's the only reason Olajuwon is the "all time shot block leader"...

Olajuwon is, at best, the 6th best center ever, behind Wilt, Russell, Jabbar, Shaq and Moses Malone. He's better than his contemporaries Robinson and Ewing. He's close to Malone and Shaq, he's not close to Wilt, Russell or Kareem.

There'd be no defensive player of the year or all-defensive teams if it wasn't for Bill Russell. The all-defensive team was created specifically because of him.
I'd say atleast in the top 5. He's the 3rd best center of all time. As veryone alse said, he ahs two rings, two finals MVPs, a lot of records, an MVP, ect. These are the top 5 centers of all time:

1 Wilt Chamberlain

2 Bill Russell

3 Hakeem Olajuwon

4 Shaquille O'Neal

5 A lot of other players
watch this

http://youtube.com/watch?v=EvJGghOuFlQ

and write comments in this question

also mister olujuwon is the best, quite frankly
he was very good and has 2 rings, no need to say much more, Houston was good and dominate during that time frame
Behind, Wilt, Kareem, only
Much to consider, I have and seen much, but did not see much of Wilt in his prime and Russel only on a old tapes and his last season. I do have 13 hours of Russel and have watched many hours of Wilt. Trying to be objective and critical, but not possible, still I have a good eye for this stuff and was myself a good post player, and really had to work at it. Talking about their prime not Kareems last 8 years for instance.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Wilt Chamberlain

Bill Russel or Shaq, Russel one of the best if not the best on D but did not score like the rest, and Shaq one of the best on offense but did not defend like the rest.

Hakeem Olajuwon

David Robinson

Patrick Ewing

Artis Gilmore

Bob MacAoo

Bob Lanier

A few guys would have been better that Ewing on down but were limited by injury. Most notably Bill Walton and Willis Reed. Also would have Tim Duncan above Ewing but since I can call him a PF I do, same for Moses Malone.

Anyone before Kareem did not get blocks kept as an official record, even Kare ems blocks for his first 5 seasons were not kept. Artus Gilmore spent part of his prime in the ABA.

Olajuwon was a great player but the shake and bake moves were over-rated, he hit a low FG% on those shots, even though his range with them was good he allowed himself to forced to far from the basket, even his effectiveness as an offensive rebounder and the resulting easy put backs did not make up for that. Others centers won more MVP awards Kareem and Russel, more championships Kareem, Russel and Shaq. The steals are very impressive and he was very scary in the post as a defender, only Russel and Kareem effected more shots, though a lot of people list Wilt there as well you can not tell by the tape I have seen. Others center won more defensive player of the year awards. Most on my list shot a much betterr FG%, but Shaq, Wilt and Kareem by a huge margin, those three and Bob MacAdoo all led the league in scoring as well, something Olajuwon never did.

In no way do I mean to put down Olajuwon but the compitition for the best center in NBA history is fierce and almost reads like the best player in NBA history. It is no disgrace to be behind the likes of Kareem, Wilt, and Russel.
I love Hakeem but he's 4 or 5.

1) Bill Russel- 5 time MVP, 12 time all-star, 11 time NBA Champ, Player Coach from 66-69, Olympic Gold Medalists in 1956, 2 time NCAA Champ, NBA, NCAA, and FIBA Hall of Famer

2) Wilt Chamberlain- 4 time MVP, 13 time all-star, 10 ALL-NBA team selections, 2 time NBA Champ, 11 rebounding titles, 7 scoring titles, 1 assist title, 1 Finals MVP, and Rookie of the year

3)Kareem Abdul-Jabbar- 6 time MVP, 6 time NBA Champ, 3 time NCAA Champ, 2 time Finals MVP, Rookie of the Year, 38,387 career points(ALL-TIME Leader)

Than it's a toss up between Hakeem and Shaq. I guess it depends on if you like power or finesse. I'd go with Hakeem.
1.wilt

2.bill russel

3.kareem

4.shaq

5.hakeem
Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem
I would have to place the great Hakeem 4th on my list, right behind Russell, Chamerlain, and a fellow once called Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar)...I have him just ahead of Duncan, Walton, and Shaq...and to think that the former post grew up playing soccer rather than the roundball that he fundamentally learned at the Univ of Houston!...Imagine what might have been had he honed his skills, as most American players did, as a youngster.
Wilt Chamberlain is #1 hands down!

30 ppg, 22.9 rpg, 4.4 apg,

2-time NBA Champion

4-time NBA MVP

2. Bill Russell - although he was only 6'9, he played and was listed as a Center.

15 ppg, 22.5rpg, 4.3 apg

11-time NBA Champion

5-time NBA MVP

12-time NBA All-Star

3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

24.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 3.6 apg

6-time NBA Champion

6-time NBA MVP

19-time All Star

4. Shaquille O'Neal

25.9 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 2.8 apg

4-time NBA Champion

1-time NBA MVP

14-time NBA All Star

5. Hakeem Olajuwon

21.8 ppg, 11.1 rpg, 2.5 apg

2-time NBA Champion

1-time NBA MVP

12-time All Star
he good.
I love the Rockets, but honestly, as great a player as the Dream was, I only rank him at number 5 all-time for centres:

Wilt

Shaq

Bill Russell

Kareem

Hakeem

Wilt's a 'gimme' at number 1, anyone with Shaq not coming 2nd has been watching the wrong sport for the last decade, Russell gets the nod at 3 for being the ONLY man to be able to put the brakes on Wilt. Kareem was the creative genius, playing ball the way no other big man had played before.

I hate to say it, but between the top 4 and Hakeem there is a whole lot of daylight, but outside of those four Hakeem is definitely the best of the bunch (certainly much better than that Navy bum from San An!)

Is the Suns-Lakers first round series the best playoff series in NBA history?

In 23 years of watching NBA basketball I cannot recall a single series that has packed this much drama, intrigue and intensity into a 7-game series. And in the 1st round, no less.

Paul

Is the Suns-Lakers first round series the best playoff series in NBA history?nba champions

Are you kidding?... The only reason its going this long is the Suns are mot playing up to par... the Suns are going to close it out and probably go on to crap out against the clippers... Wow awesome im so impressed...

Is the Suns-Lakers first round series the best playoff series in NBA history?nba spurs ,nba teams

agree!Game 6 today was so exciting and dramatic. both them kept score one after another! Kode was again imagine today, score 52 points in playoff! and score all 13 points but one for what Laker have got in OT. Too bad, again, One-man-show is not good enought for Laker.
Maybe you didn't see the Bulls and Knicks or the Bulls and Jazz.

Those were amazing games. Far more amazing with the all star lineup all the teams had in the 90's.
Yeah!!! It's very exciting!!!
I agree with you. I have never seen a 1st round series as dramatic as this series.
Oh yea its gonna be history. Only 8 teams in the history of the current NBA Playoff system (1985) have come back from a 1-3 deficit. The Suns are gonna win the seventh game on Saturday and they would be the ninth team in 21 years. The Suns are making history and without Amare. GO NASH!!!!!
Given the circumstances of a 2 seed V. 7 seed going to a 7 game series,it is exciting, but unless we have one more buzzer beater or nail-biter, I still don't see this series cracking the top 5 playoff series' of all time.
Not even close.
Hehehe...Yeah...But fortunately Phoenix will win the series and one of the greatest come back ever! yeah baby!!!
yeah, you bet!
I will say it is a damn good series.. best i've seen i thought Suns were gonna be out of it but they believe in themselves now and have some confadence back so i think they will win game 7 and kill the clippers.. of atleast im hoping lol..

In your opinion, which #1 Draft Pick was the biggest flop in NBA History? Why?

One who made the least impact to the team which chose him, and who had the poorest NBA career

In your opinion, which #1 Draft Pick was the biggest flop in NBA History? Why?nba all star game

LaRue Martin was drafted #1 out of Loyola University by the Portland Trailblazers in 1972, and spent just 4 seasons in the NBA.

Stats show that he never scored more than 7 pts in agame, and averaged just 5.3 pts and 4.6 boards per game for his entire career.

In your opinion, which #1 Draft Pick was the biggest flop in NBA History? Why?knicks ,nba teams

Sam Bowie is always treated un-fairly in these things. He was never going to match up to jordan, you should direct your crap at the portland trailblazers head office
Michael Olowakandi...b/c he's Michael Olawakandi...close close second is Kwame Brown b/c of how hyped he was and b/c Jordan was so high on him and he was absolutely garbage for the longest time...still isnt great but has improved thats the only reason he's not #1 IMO.
olowankandi by far. he was supposed to be a dominant center. now, he has no team. no one really interested in getting him. i can't remember him having a great season. at least joe smith was a solid starter/role player. kwame showed flashes of greatness last year.
Joe Smith
LaRue Martin of the Portland Trail Blazers, Joe Barry Carroll of Golden State and Sam Bowie of Portland.
I'd have to say Kwame Brown. He was drafted by Jordan and was believed to becoming a promising big man. Now I watch my Lakers suffer with Kwames horrible ball handling and lack of just understanding the damn game of basketball!! I can also say Darko Milicic by the Pistons. Yeah, see! You don't even know who he is.

Will the Phoenix Suns be the first team in NBA History to win a series after being down 0-3?

I have no real reference, because no NBA team has done it before, but I suspect the Suns do have enough talent to pull off the miracle. Maybe the Spurs just took Sunday off, but if Phoenix wins Game 5, I think we have a series.

Will the Phoenix Suns be the first team in NBA History to win a series after being down 0-3?sports tickets

No team has done it in NBA history. Even if it would happen, it would be the least likely to happen with the defending champs. The series is most likely over on game 5.

Will the Phoenix Suns be the first team in NBA History to win a series after being down 0-3?concert tickets ,nba teams

absolutely. some people would tend to judge that they can't do it because no one has ever done it. THAT IS SO WRONG! it's was like saying kobe can't do 81 points because no player in his era has ever done it.

Phoenix Suns is a highly talented team, they're also creative with the basket. With those qualities, i believe they can outplay the spurs in defense again just like what they have done yesterday. THEY ARE A DEFENSIVE TEAM. It's just a matter of keep on being committed and perseverance.

Expect the Phoenix Suns to make history. It's 07-08 season, lots of amazing stuffs: lakers number 1 despite poor start, rockets 22-game winning streak, great turnaround by the celtics, great year by the 76ers, lots of stuffs to mention. It's NBA, where amazing happens.

And this time,

It's the Phoenix Suns' turn to rewrite history.
Possible but not probable. Yes the suns have the talent but the spurs have the experience all I'm saying to make it short and simple is that as long as they're down by 2 games it does not look good but if they can pull off in game 5 %26amp; 6 what they pulled off in game 4 then yes they have a strong chance to win and make history, but as of now if your a suns fan then keep your spirits up they're still in there.

Now if only I can say the same about the Nuggets...
I think that the series will go seven games, but I see the Spurs prevailing in this one. I can see the Suns winning the next game because of momentum and the emotions of staying in the playoffs, and I see them winning at home in game 6. But when the series heads back to San Antonio, I think it's all over. I would love to see Phoenix do it, though.
they have the talent that is not he question the question is can they stop the spurs and if you watch them from time to time id have to say no...i hope the suns can win and make this a interesting series but i just dont see it happening, the spurs are just too strong in too many areas and it takes a perfect game of defense to do that
No.

Phoenix can't defend the pick and roll especially when Shaq is involved. I doubt the Spurs will have three more consecutive bad games like that.

I can see the Suns taking game 5, but getting ousted in Game 6 back in Phoenix.
they have a big chance since they have combatted tony parker's fast paced tempo with an even faster boris diaw and during game 3 you can see diaw almost take out a 13 point deficit by the spurs.so grant hill's injury may have been a blessing in disguise
Nope. Spurs just had a bad game. Spurs should be closing them out in game 5. I wish the Sun could win, cus i hate the boring *** spurs, but i dont think they have a chance.... go lakers vs celtics...
well i hope so...

it'll be the making of history before our eyes and well i do find the spurs boring and hate them oh so much.
As I said, the suns will win only if they tied up parker's, duncan's and manu's hands.
Yes, I do.

GO SUNS! COME ON, THIS SERIES IS OURS! WE CAN DO THIS! LETS GO SUNS!
Yes
That will be very interesting
YEZZZ ZIRRRR THEY DO LETS GO SUNS!!!!!!!!!!! KICK THE $HT OUT OF THE SPURS DIRTY A$$ES
HELL YEAH THEY ARE GOING TO KICK THE SPURS' A...s...s
The Rock sure hopes so...
maybe lets see next game
probably if they can win...
if they give it all they got then yes

Who is/are your favorite underrated player(s) in NBA history?

One at the top of my list has to be Sidney Moncrief, a great ballplayer (80's era) most kids today have never even heard of...Sid was a 6'4" guard who shot better than 50% from the floor and 83% from the line in an 11 yr career for the Milwaukee Bucks..

He averaged around 16 points and 5 rebounds a game and had a 2:1 turnover/assist ratio...he was also a 2-time NBA defensive player of the year and was greatly respected by Michael Jordan for the tenacity he played with every game, all game long...He was a complete player who played the game the right way...I think Moncrief would not have been so underrated had he not played in such a small market city...Your choices?

Who is/are your favorite underrated player(s) in NBA history?nba draft picks

I think the best underrated player in NBA history is Michael Cooper. He played on the Lakers in the late 70's and early 80's and he was one of the greatest defensive players of all time. The Lakers wouldn't have won nearly as many championships in its "Showtime" Era if it weren't for Cooper's defensive ability and quickness and he clutch scoring ability.

Who is/are your favorite underrated player(s) in NBA history?nba playoffs ,nba teams

michael redd

baron davis
michael jordan
for me, its BOB SURA. my all time fave underrated player.

below are deails of his career from wikipedia

Sura played high school at G.A.R. Memorial in Wilkes-Barre. He had a high game of 68 while leading G.A.R. to a remarkable streak of 86 consecutive league victories. After high school, Sura played basketball for Florida State University, playing on the same team as fellow NBA players Charlie Ward and Sam Cassell.

Sura was drafted 17th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1995 NBA Draft. His best season with the Cavaliers was his last, averaging 13.8 points per game during the 1999-2000 season. He was then traded to the Golden State Warriors, and has also played for the Detroit Pistons, the Atlanta Hawks and the Houston Rockets.

With the Hawks, he gained attention by almost posting three straight triple-double games (the "third" was subsequently taken away from him by the league) (still is 3 straight triple double). With the Rockets, Sura was considered by many analysts to be a key to their regular season success until he suffered an injury. (attn not ur selfish one TRACY McGREEDY)

Sura has competed in the 3-point tournament during the All-Star Weekend, as well as the Slam Dunk competition. Sura's career averages include 8.6 points per game. In the 2004-2005 season, his last season due to injury, he averaged 10.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

Sura's Florida State jersey was retired in 2007, where he is the school's all time leading scorer.
i'm a warriors fan myself... in the early 90's sarunus marcilounis (sorry for butchering his last name) was a 20 pt. scorer off of the bench filling in at three allstars positions (hardaway, richmond, and mullin)

also, even though he had his ups and downs when latrell spreewell was teamed with chris webber he was not only underrated but he was unapreciated i think
David Lee
JoJo White. He led the Celtics for a championship in 1976 but i think he was underrated because of the presence of the great John Havlicek and Dave Cowens. According to many basketball purists, he and Jerry West are the best pure shooters ever played the game.
Chris Mullin was very underrated as a player, Mark Price as well was underrated, and Byron Scott.
kevin martin is a realy nice player. you will all see how good he is while bibby is out
Shawn Marion
mugsy bogues and earl boykins. their height would be my reason.
eddie johnson. he scored the most points in nba history without making an all star game
Moncrief was a great player, underrated, but not as underrated as some. Greg Anthony was a great defender who should have gotten more playing time just for his defense.

Much has been made about the international movement in the NBA.

But what few realize is that it all started in Mexico.

In 1970, then Atlanta Hawks general manager and current NBA Director of Scouting Marty Blake made the first international selection in NBA Draft history. Mexican native Manuel Raga was chosen in the 10 th round, with the 167 th overall pick in the Draft. He was never signed as the Hawks didn't have the $35,000 to buy him out of his overseas contract. But it wasn't until 27 years later that an NBA audience would get to see a Mexican-born player play in the league.

On March 2, 1997 at Dallas, Horacio Llamas made history by becoming the first Mexican-born player to appear in an NBA game.

The 2nd to appear in the NBA is none other then Eduardo Najera of the Denver Nuggets. He is probably the most productive of all.

We are still waiting on future prospects to come into the league and there will be, you can bet on it.

ther Mexican greats have flirted with NBA careers but never set foot on the court. Arturo Guerrero received numerous invitations to NBA training camps, including: Houston Rockets (1970), Cleveland Cavaliers (1971), New York Knicks (1972), Los Angeles Lakers (1973) and San Antonio Spurs (1979). Most recently, Mexican guard Omar Quintero participated in the 2004 NBA Pre-Draft Camp in Chicago following one season at Southern Nazarene University, a NAIA Division I school in Bethany, Okla. Quintero ranked third in the nation in scoring.

Chamberlain or Russell, who is the greatest center in NBA history?

Please don't say Shaq as while he is a great player, he is not up to these two giants of the NBA. When Wilt and Bill tangled it was truly a battle.

Chamberlain or Russell, who is the greatest center in NBA history?nba 08

It's a close call but i have to go with Chamberlain.

The main argument for Russell was his 11 rings. Yes, he's a true winner and a fierce competitor. But Wilt was a fierce competitor too and he could do whatever Russell could, even better. Russell's play emphasized rebounding and defense. But the stats show that Wilt has better career rebounding average than Bill, and as far as blocked shots are concerned, they're about even. On the other hand, Wilt was all about offensive dominance inside the paint. He scored 100 points in a game and is second to MJ in career scoring average. And Russell? He's way down the ladder as far as scoring is concerned. Of course, he could score, but not at will as Wilt did. His all star teammates did that for him so he could concentrate on defense. Wilt didn't have much of a competent back-up so he singlehandedly led his team most of the time, especially during the Philly years.

I think that a great center dominates the paint, both offensively and defensively, and Wilt did just that. Russ was kinda one-dimensional. That makes Shaq and Kareem even better than him. Yes, he won all those titles, but wouldn't have achieved all these without Cousy, Hondo, Nelson, Sam %26amp; KC Jones, etc.

Chamberlain or Russell, who is the greatest center in NBA history?nba finals ,nba teams

rus Report It

Russel has 11 championship rings and Rus plays Defense. Wilt had a 100 points and 55 rebounds once. But Russell is better. Report It

Chamberlain, just look at what he accomplish by himself and become a legend but Russell, he's a team player and what he get is more championship than Wilt.
Chamberlain was probably the most dominant player in the league in the era both of them played, but Russell was the best player on the greatest team in NBA history. Chamberlain was much taller and wider than Russell and had a better overall offensive game. Russell revolutionized the block shot. Many times he would block it to an area where he or one of his teamates could get their hands on it. He was also one of the best rebounders the NBA has ever seen. At 6'9" he wasn't the prototype nba center, but he used is great athleticism two get his hands on every rebound that he was close to. Overall Russell might be the greatest winner in the history of the game, and Chamberlain the most dominant player of his era.
russell was a better leader and defender, but wilt, in terms of size, strength, offensive dominance, rebounding, and sheer ability to take over a game was unmatched. he was 7'1" 275, and he could run the floor, then beat you into submission on both ends. russell played on much better teams overall (11 titles in 13 years), but wilt was the single best player in nba history other than jordan. when those two went at each other it was always a great game, wilt usually played better then russell, but the celtics usually won. you can't really go wrong with either of them, but i'd pick wilt by a hair
Chamberlain was the better athlete, but Russell changed the game. He was the best defensive player in the middle, and quite possibly the greatest defender ever. He gave up some of his stats so his team would be better, thus making them the most prolific dynasty in the history of the NBA.
How about Tractor Traylor??? He's better than both of them combined, and he's going jail. HAHA the NBA is a JOKE. "Leave your guns at home"
wilt on stilts by along mile
Wilt
I have to say SHAQ, if he played in russell's or chamberlain's time, he would have been scoring bout 70+ points a game easy. Though wilt and bill were more versitile, shaqs power would have been too much for them little guys back in the day. I'm sorry but i have to go with Shaq.
I would have to say, Chamberlain is a better player if it's in a one-on-one matchup.
russell. russell has more championships 11. 11 rings. ok he proved defense wins championships. he was a defensive low post player and dominated the painted area and just changed the others team approach to scoring. wilt was an outstanding scorer and rebounder but when he went up with russell they usually battled each other even.
Wilt Chamberlain by far...
Russell is the one with all the championships
I would pick Russell from these two, but these guys are right about Shaq and Olajuwon. If you watch games from the 50's and 60's, the level of talent and athleticism are nowhere near what they are today. I would pick Hakeem, Shaq, and Jabbar as my top three. Russell and Wilt were dominant in their day, but put them in todays game and their stats wouldn't even be close to what they were. People who pick Oscar over Magic are nuts, too. Not even close.
even though i'm a laker for life, i'll give it to russell because of the 11 rings...
as far as being an intelligent and practical player i would say bill russel but as for longevity as the record show it will be wilt chamberlain!
WILT "THE STILT" CHAMBERLAIN.
I know you said don't say shaq but I have to........ sorry he is without a doubt the most Dominant center in League history not to sell those other two short but C'mon if shaq played back in their era he would've destroyed everything in his path and their would have been no one to stop him if you look at what he did against a more stronger, competitive era he still dominated, so what do you think he would do against a more smaller weaker less competitive era, plus shaq is bigger stronger and quicker than both of those guys, he was the youngest player to be named one of the 50 greatest players of all time and he isn't even retired yet, I think right now he ranks #9 all time so that pretty much says how much Shaq is the true greatest center of all time I think alot of people have to agree.
Bill Russell, though not blessed with Wilt's talent, changed the game with his defense. He was about as athletic as Wilt was, and was very analytical about how the game should be played. Most of all, he had killer instinct, which ultimately hurt Wilt down the line. 11 championships in 13 seasons, definitely Bill Russell.
Chamberlain
Russell, championships baby! He could have put up Chamberlins numbers and lost if he had wanted to!
hakeem olajuwon was better then either of them

but the choice between those 2 is chamberlain

no contest
All I have to say is Who has more rings? (One has more rings than fingers.)

What team is the best in NBA history?

teams from the year we live now

What team is the best in NBA history?nba history

1950's 60's Boston Celtics

70's New York Knicks

80's Loss Angeles Laker's

90's Chicago Bulls

2000's San Antonio Spurs

That's NBA records history (NBA.com)

What team is the best in NBA history?nba trade ,nba teams

Ill take Kevin Mchales celtics over the rest... this was a phenominal team that proved they could hang year in and year out with the most solid teams in NBA history...

Give it a couple years, and we could see a new dynasty out of the Hornets, Lakers, Celtics, or even the Blazers (depending on exactly how Oden effects them and what they do in the offseason...)
Purely by stats, it's the Celtics. They have the most championships, after all. But I think the Lakers have a richer history, so I would pick them. Kareem, Wilt, Goodrich, Worthy, West, Baylor, Magic, and (more recently) Shaq and Kobe...but really, between those two, it's hard to say who to choose.
the Celtics are the best of all time with the most championships ring, but this year either the rockets with there 22 game winning streak mostly without Yao or the Celtics with the most wins this year even they are in the Eastern conference, or the lakers with the most wins in the hard western conference
This is a tough question. I would love to see the 80's Lakers take on the 90's Bulls or even the 00's Spurs. Who ever wins that tournament would be the winner.

I'm going for the 90's Bulls.
Now

Rockets

22 game winning streak

History

The Chicago Bulls 72-10

GO BULLS!!! GO BULLS!!!

GO BULLS!!! GO BULLS!!!
well, the old lakers and celtics i think were the most dominant teams in history.

but as far as one year goes, I think MJ's bulls could beat any team that has ever existed
Boston Celtics No Doubt..

They've won the most NBA Titles Ever
Boston Celtics in the 60's. 11 titles in 13 seasons
1996 Chicago Bulls 72-10
what came 1st the chicken or the egg.... there is too many answers and opinions for the question to have a definite answer
THE LAKERS!!
72 - 10 says it all 1996 Bulls

Of course but we all know that they all wouldnt agree to it

Oh hell no! What kind of idiot would give up Kobe for Dwyane Wade? It would be the biggest blockbuster trade and two general managers (Lakers and Cavaliers) would be fired.
the trade wont work

A-Roid!!!!!
no that trade wont work, espn clearly tells you that.
it would only work for denver and miami

The one punch that nearly killed Rudy Tomjanovich. Kermit Washington threw the cheapest sucker punch in NBA history. Tomjanovich wasn't even involved in the fight that had broken out on the court but was the victim of the worse ambush of all time. The punch nearly killed Rudy "T" and effectively ended Washington's NBA career. He was lucky he didn't spend years in prison for his act of violence.

Pacers-Piston brawl in '04. Could and should have been a non issue except for the bottom being thrown for the stands.

The Carmelo sucker punch and all he gets is 15 games. Anyone else goes to jail for 15 years.

The Bird - Erving was more of a surprise to me. Two classy guys who you would never think would be involved in a situation like that but it happened.

Brad Miller showed absolutely no common sense to go after the strongest basketball player since Wilt Chamberlain, and it's showed.

Good question!
Melo punch that took Collins down not a sucker !

3Carmelo Anthony and the Nuggets brawl with the Knicks(2006)

4Alonzo Mourning-Larry Johnson(1998)

The Mavericks are the biggest choke team in NBA history?

Dirk should trade away his MVP trophey, and admit he chokes under big pressure games. He will always be considered as a soft player, and someone who can't carry a team on his back. He's a good player, but will never be a great player. He has no heart, no passion, no aggression towards his game. I hate to say it, but it's the europeon attitude he has. The Mavericks were not "playoff ready" for this series, as we all know. The coaches had no game plan on how to adjust to this series, they couldn't figure out a way to slow this series down. The warriors got in the Mavericks heads and dirk's head as well. The Mavericks need to change up their team, If they want to compete for an NBA title. I like keeping the big three, Dirk, terry, josh howard, but they need a center who can post up. The mavericks need a big physical presence in their lineup. Damp and diop are spare centers at best, you can't get it done with centers like that. But in the end folks, we lost cause of Dirks play...

The Mavericks are the biggest choke team in NBA history?fan gear

I agree with you

the MAVS are the biggest choke

The Mavericks are the biggest choke team in NBA history?nba draft ,nba teams

the MAVERICKS IS NOT A CHOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Report It

Basically Dirk is a great player but he folds in clutch situations. The Dallas Mavericks have a very good team but they lack something... Grunt!!! They are a team that is great when they are good (meaning every player hits shots if they lead 10 above during the last two mins) but they don't know what to do when they are down during the last few seconds.

One thing is for sure, the Warriors are better.
This is exactly why he does not deserve MVP. Nash deserves it 100 times more. So what if he has won two yrs in a row, he DESERVES it.
no there not. the Warriors where favor the whole time (well by me that is) dalles never had a chance Golden state was just too much. here what i think

Damp and diop are spare centers at best, you can't get it done with centers like that. But in the end folks, they lost cause of Dirks play...

I am so happy this happen.
Maybe the pressure got to Dirk. I mean everyone except others have been rooting for him to be the Golden Boy of the NBA this year, but he couldn't deliver. People will blame him because he is the star of that team.
This wasn't really a choke though... look at the lineups. Golden State has more talent... they were only an 8 seed because they were hurt all year. Dirk could not take on that whole team.
Maybe the warriors are just good. They had a winning records against them in the regular season. Their lineup is just as talented as Dallas. Give Golden State some credit.
yes the mavericks is the biggest choke in team history

1) they lost to the heats last year

2)they just lost to the warriors the 8th seed team

3)to top it off they had best season there star just won the mvp title how can you come to the first round and turn around an loose?
Dirk is not the MVP, Steve Nash is. Dirk just folds under pressure like last year against Miami Heat. He stated that Mavs threw away the Finals what a joke. They won't win the NBA title with Dirk.
Dirk is not THE man, he needs a good point guard with mental toughness who knows how to use him. He will never be like a Duncan who can take over game by himself. totally different mindsets. Dirk looked lost whole series, W's too fast, too athletic, too tough. Sorry Mavs, get a real point guard and Dirk MIGHT get one (still not sure after tonight)

(We Believe)
No, the '02 Kings are. Dirk actually hit rim when he missed his shots unlike the air balls of Stojakovic and Doug Christie in Game 7 of their playoff series vs. the Lakers.
Why are they the biggest choke? lets see.

DALLAS

Biggest in history? Maybe, but the choke that hurts the most is the 2000 Blazers. They choked so hard it not only ruined their season... it ruined the team.

Dirk has no heart, no passion, no aggression? And that's because he's European? Sheesh. That's about the most wrong thing I've ever heard. Try watching him play sometime.

Regardless of that, he sure had a bad week.

big Wilt Wilt Chamberlein, or maybe Larry Bird idk.
my first guess would be the great big o oscer roberston who averaged a triple double 5 times in his remembered carrer try that on your test because that the only player in history to ever do that
hah, you go to John Swett huh?
Wilt Chamberlain sounds reasonable..
Is it Greg Oden, the dude is so bulk
Wilt. He, not Jordan is the greatest ever.
Wilt Chamberlain....
chamberlain only led the league in assists once
Its Wilt Chamberlin. I had this question on a game show i was on believe it or not. i fail to recollect the years though.
maybe Michael Jordan

Whos the best scorer in nba history.?

kobe bryant. i think

Whos the best scorer in nba history.?nba ballers

It would have to be Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Bernard King, then you put Kobe in the mix. Who know? Maybe by the time that Kobe retire, he will be on top of these men. Nothing is impossible.

Whos the best scorer in nba history.?nba draft lottery ,nba teams

The numbers show Wilt Chamberlain! But don't forget 81! With some defense on him, Kobe scored the second highest number in NBA history. If you watch Wilt, MJ and Kobe on tape now, you would see who had a harder time scoring with D and refs against him. Thats why Kobe is the best!
Wilt chamberlain
Bryant isn't the best... It was probably Michael Jordan.
Wilt chamberlain man...but if he was 2-3 inches shorter and guys back then other than russell were bigger, then he wouldn't have been that good, otherwise I would say Kobe but what wilt chamberlain has done is amazing, so its him
Kobe Bryant by far.... this is is today... today and yesterday are history....... and im not being biased... i dislike Kobe, but he is the greatest pure scorer

forget about Wilt Chamberlin and all them, that was old school. there wasn't as much talent or competition around then.... defensive strategies aren't as well developed as they are today... Wilt is a Center who is close to the basket and should get points at a faster rate... he is just way more dominate of his time... and plus.. his range was no more than about 18-20 ft. max

Jordan..arguably the second best.... no doubt.... he could be tied with Kobe... they both bring the same attitude.. physical pressence, and they can both light it up from anywhere on the court on any given night against any team... they both have the will to take over a game and are willing to take the last shot in the clutch... don't get me wrong...jordan is a tremendously great scorer....

...but to be able to create your own shot play after play, game after game. getting double/triple teamed from the 3pt line! (24 ft. away)!... that is just ridiculous... and the truth is, Kobe doesn't really have much help around him to keep defenders guarding the other teamates... Kobe is a one-man recking crew... he is the best individual scorer in NBA history... and the fact that he is doing this while there are so many "Kobe-haters" around...(unlike Jordan-haters), is pretty remarkable as well... this guy can just flat out score
Michael Jordan has the highest career scoring average ever at 30.12 ppg over his entire career.
Chamberland far and away
Wilt Chamberlain
Michael Jordan is the best, and purest scorer the NBA has ever seen. A lot of you will say Wilt, but he was a much more dominant, inside player, playing in a weaker league. If Jordan played in Wilt's time, he would have averaged 60 plus every game. His clutch shooting ability, along with his skill to create a shot in any situation speaks for itself. He scored points at will every night, sometimes surprising even himself (who remembers the shoulder shrug and head shake after he made three pointer after three pointer?). And he did all this as a 6'6'' guard, not a 7 foot big-man. He scored points hurt, with the flu, it didnt matter....unstoppable.
Kobe Bryant is ranked 26th in NBA history for average ppg in the playoffs. That is why I can't say he's the best scorer in NBA history. Not only did MJ average over 30 ppg over his career in the regular season, he also averaged over 33 ppg throughout 179 playoff games. Kobe on the other hand has averaged 22.9 ppg in 126 playoff games.

Some big names above him are Barkley, Bird, Duncan, Kareem, English, King, Paul Pierce, Malone, Rick Barry, Ray Allen, Wilkins, Wade, Shaq, Dirk, Hakeem "the Dream", Gervin, Baylor, Carter, Jerry West, McGrady, Iverson, and Jordan.

That's a long list to be behind and that was leaving out a few. Until he can get up there in the playoffs against real competition (unlike scoring 81 vs the Raptors last season, 65 against Portland, 50 vs Minnesota, and 60 vs Memphis), I can't give him support as the best scorer in NBA history. For the record, every time Kobe has scored over 40 points in a game against the Suns, the Lakers are 0-8. So far, he's shown that given almost 40 shots, a player can score over 60 against terrible teams.

Best scorer in the regular season ever was Wilt. Best scorer in regular season+playoffs is Jordan.
MJ, as far as clutch scoring goes. Kobe has set the bar lately and has proven to be an incredibly talented scorer as of late.
Wilt Chamberain was the most prolific scorer of all time. One season he averaged over 50 points per game. Another interesting fact about Wilt is that he never fouled out of a game.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the leading scorer in the history of the game..... not Kobe or MJ...!!!!!

And he was a guy who couldn't create his own shoot, needed teammates to get him the ball, think god he played with smart players.....I guess that's way he won 4 championships at UCLA (when he played incollegefreshmen couldn't play on the varsity, but when UCLA's varsity won the NCAA title they played the freshmen team that year and lost to them. So UCLA varsity teams was #1 in the country and #2 on their campus) and 6 tlitles in the NBA (1 with the Bucks and 5 with the Lakers)....They even changed the rules because the knew he would dominate in college, so they stopped letting people dunk because they knew he was unstoppable and they made him a even better player because he develop the SKY HOOK....that kept him in the league a Lil longer didn't it...!!!!!!
Wilt Chamberlain. He's all by himself all-time.
Michael Jordan hands down over Kobe any day. In fact, the only person i'd say that would give MJ a challenge would be Chamberlain. But I say it's still MJ. You can't deny what he did and how he did it. He was clutch and made everyone around him better. He didn't need a dominant big man to help him out. His abilities made several around him appear better than they were.
Wilt and Kareem are the best .Kobe is no where near the best scorer. If you think he is you need to read up your NBA history.
wilt chamberlain!
M. Jordan

Who is toughest player in nba history?

Maurice Lucas.

Who is toughest player in nba history?nba live 2005

shaquille oneal.

The best center of our generation.

Who is toughest player in nba history?nba update ,nba teams

nate robinson
There are a lot of ways to define toughness:

1. Charles Barkley has the most self-esteem

2. Shaq is the strongest

3. Ron Artest and Rasheed are the best fighters

4. Allen Iverson plays like someone twice his size

5. Earl Boykins can bench three times his own weight

6. Kobe has the resilience to play a season through a false accusation that threatens to send his neck into a noose. He can withstand any emotional setback.

7. D-Wade can play through fractured ribs, sinus infections, and shoulder dislocations. He can withstand any physical setbacks.
idk steve nash?? jaja..
Cmon man, Bill Laimbeer or Larry Bird. They never put up with any crap.
wat kinda answers r those?..all those guys r wimps, except ai....lets c, how bout joe dumars, or michael jordan, he played with the flu.....
Wilt easy. Non-center would be Karl Malone.
Wilt Chamberlain in terms of playing time. The guy once averaged 48.5 mins a game (a regulation game is only 48mins).

John Havlicek in terms of stamina.

Dave Cowens in terms of being a team enforcer (the one assigned to piss off the opposing team).
allen iverson hes 5-11/ 6 foot 165 pounds but plays like hes 6-7 he had the alot of injuries but plays thru them every year.
shaq
Manu Genobili
toughest....?? Well there are many paths to take while answering.....You could go Spudd webb, or you could go bill lambier, or simply dennis rodman - maybe latrell sprewell, I mean he did choke his good old coach carliesmo(now with Seattle)....
Dave Cowens
dennis rodman
Terry Davis before the car accident
A.I.
right now i think Andreas Noch.

but of all time .................. Bill Russell
Are you talking about toughest as in toughest to guard against or toughest as in bad *** dudes?

Shaq in his prime and Wilt Chamberlain were probably the toughest to defend.

Maurice Lucas was one of the toughest "bully" kind of people when he was with the Blazers.
Earl Bowykins lol
My vote goes to Charles Oakley, formerly of the Bulls, Knicks and Raptors. Supposedly he knocked out Tyrone Hill before a game because he owed Charles money, and also slapped Jeff McInnis before a game during warm-ups for dating his ex-girlfriend. Not to mention he was one of the better rebounders of the 80's and 90's.
allen iverson or one of the detroit "bad boys" from the 1989 and 1990 era. "Bill Laimbeer, Rick Mahorn"
charles oakley.

Which division in the nba has the most buzzer beating shots on nba history?

also tell if its the most clutch division in the nba. i say the central.

Which division in the nba has the most buzzer beating shots on nba history?basketball jerseys

Of all time? Definately Central. Look at the teams we are dealing with!!

Indiana- Reggie Miller. He pretty much invented the instant replay while beating the Nets.

Chicago- M.J. Nuff said.

Detroit- Mr. Big Shot, Chauncy Billups. Dont know how many buzzer beaters hes made, but hes very clutch. Also, the pistons have one of the best history of players in the NBA

Cleveland and Milwuakee probably havn't done much, but i'm sure they've provided a few.

Which division in the nba has the most buzzer beating shots on nba history?nba 08 ,nba teams

i agree its the central
That's not valid. Players make clutch shots and they move to different teams all the time. You can't judge the "clutchness" of a division because new players come in while others go out
I believe it's the central (mostly due to MJ in Chicago), with the Pacific division a close second.
idk not sure
The most buzzer beaters probably doesn't come from the division that is most stacked; you just remember things that Michael did because it was in big game situations. But think about the regular season. For example, in the year the Bulls went 72-10, they were blowing people out, not hitting buzzer beaters. This is randomly distributed statistically, teams change, players change, and you are all idiots for even debating it.

Is Shaq the biggest underacheiver in nba history?

He should own the record books, rebounds and blocks, a no defensive player of the year awards, and with the lack of big men in the league in his era, as a once huge shaq fan im very dissapointed

Is Shaq the biggest underacheiver in nba history?nba rules

If 4rings in six finals appearances and 3 finals mvp and regular season mvps is underachieving then damn. thats all i can say..

I get your point but I wouldn't go as far as calling him an underachiever. he aint got the awards to show for it but he was a top5 in the major categories for most of his career. he aint the BIGGEST underachiever and he aint even an underachiever.

Is Shaq the biggest underacheiver in nba history?nba live ,nba teams

Whaaaaaaaat? Over 20,000 points and 4 championship rings. Are you serious?
WTF are you talking about? Shaq has 4 title rings and 3 finals MVP trophies.
Shaq is aw-right. The only reason we WAS so good is because he took up space. Know he's just SO old, and can't take the beating he gets down low.
shaq will go down as one of the best centers of all time, probably top 5. if you look at him now, yea he sucks, hes old, fat, slow, but in his prime with the magic and lakers, he was as dominant as a guy can be. nobody could stop him.
how many rings does he have again?
He is a clown just like Barkley was. All the talent in the world but doesn't have the desire to give 100% all the time. He obviously has wasted some of his career by not being as dedicated to the sport as others.

However its his life, I'm not one to hold it against him. I know I don't give 100% at work all the time, especially when I'm at work on a Saturday morning replying to this,
WOW he is one of the best
I wouldnt put him as an underachiever, not with 4 championship rings. Many all stars went/go through their career without a ring. However%26lt; i actually think at times he was over rated, and only because with his size he could have done so much more, individually, and media and fans accepted his input with his team each day no matter what he did. Unfortunately, his presence was quite intimidating to many opponents, but offensively, all he was able to do, was practially stand in the paint and drop the ball in. No movement, no dribble, no lay-ups, no coordination, which is why this season I was surprised to see him actually go for loose balls and hit the stands. He can actually move, how about that. One would think tall, big men have it made, but if that person is somewhat uncoordinated, doesnt matter. With his size and "ability" he should be pouring in tens of points on The Spurs right now, despite their defense. But being a Spurs fan, I am quite happy he is only complaining and making ridiculous comments regarding The Spurs wins, cause, afterall who is in a 0-3 hole?
maybe an underachiever as far as his expectations and production this year, but with 4 rings, and some MVP awards (3, I think) i don't think u can look at his overall basketball career and dare fix ur mouth to say "underachiever" at all. i know he was a disappointment to the SUNS, but u can't put all of that on Shaq..basketball is a team sport and his teammates (especially Nash and Amare) need to step up their games. Of course, it's 2 late now, cause the spurs pretty much ripped their hearts out lastnight.
Um, ever hear of a guy named Tracy McGrady?
If four titles in six finals appearances is underachieving then perhaps your standards are a bit to high.

Now I see your point but I wouldn't go as far as calling him an underachiever, he just played his game best he could and history will tell the rest as far as where he stands amongst the greatest ever.
HOW OLD ARE YOU, ACE?
Underachiever ? Are you kidding? He has won MVP a few times and not to mention four championship rings.
at the end only the championship rings matter.

Shaquille O'Neal has 4 Championships.. 3 of it in him being MVP. Not a lot of people can go to the finals even. Shaq proved that and that is all that matters
no....he averaged 30 and 10 for along time...no big man in to days era average 30 and 10

4 rings

6 finals
He was the best player on his team for 4 NBA titles. that's pretty impressive.

He's too big and slow to really get a lot of rebounds and blocks. The best rebounders are those who can not only get the ones under the basket but also get the ones that land 15 feet away. The best shot blockers are the ones who come out of nowhere.
